The
NATFI Advisory Board program is designed to form and maintain relationships with industry
focused professionals, business networks, organizations, and industry-related
activities and opportunities worldwide. Focus is on the business and market
environment as it relates to opportunities to cross-pollinate the skills and
expertise of professionals.
Who Are Advisors
Advisory Board Members are non-paid professionals from across the United States and from other countries. They are executives, industry experts, professionals and interested individuals who have first hand knowledge of the self-directed investing industry, or be recognized as an expert in a specific field, or posses a specific acumen they are willing to share with NATFI members and supporters.
Participation is by invitation only.
Role of
the Advisor
Advisors function as a knowledge and experienced expert providing input when called upon, and by making meaningful business and industry connections to promote the growth of the association, and its member services. NATFI Advisors provide the association:
- Information and business
intelligence
- Promotional support of NATFI
and its programs and services
- Support in building a focused
Member constituency
- Industry connections
Specific
Activities
- Proactively promote the NATFI to their business and industry contacts by recommending and
contacting other industry experts and business people to participate
- Give input and advice when called upon
- Communicate with a program
leader to stay abreast of their knowledge needs and opportunities to
share
- Advisors may also choose to
serve on a leadership committee for a program or business service
Commitment & Time
- Must be a member of NATFI
- Two year minimum commitment –
ongoing participation in NATFI is encouraged
- Estimated time commitment is 4-6 hours per month, depending on level of participation in 1-4 above
